The Championships are the oldest tennis tournament in the world and are often considered the most prestigious out of the four “grand slams” tennis stars play. It is also the only one to still be played on grass, which is the game’s original surface. The competition has taken place at The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London since 1877 and is often mentioned by top players as being their favourite.
