The company was asked by the War office at the beginning of World War I to come up with a sturdy boot suitable for the conditions in flooded trenches. Their war efforts extended to World War II and producing many other items as well as over a million pair of trench boots to cope with the Army’s demands.
Hunter holds two Royal Warrants as they supply HRH the Duke of Edinburgh and HM the Queen with Wellington boots.
