Cufflinks

Find here a selection of Paul Smith Cufflinks. The cufflink in British society has been traced back to as far as the 1680's when an articles in the London Gazette referred to a pair of cuff buttons sets with diamonds and a pair of gold enamelled cuff buttons in two separate articles. It wasn't until the mid nineteenth century after the dandy period where it was customary for men to have hugely elaborate ruffles at the cuff of their shirts that we started to see the double cuff become fashionable and therefore a need to keep them together with the use of these little pieces of functional jewellery. Cufflinks can be as plain or as decorative as one can imagine and often allow men in more conservative fields of dress the subtle opportunity to display a touch of character and individuality to this small area around the wrists.
