Holland & Holland
It is probably one of the most famous brands known primarily for its excellence in Gun making. It was founded in 1835 by Harris Holland who was a brilliant shot and after proving that he was particularly accomplished on the pigeon and grouse shoots around the country, his friends encouraged him to start his own gun making business.
He never had any children of his own so he took on his nephew, Henry Holland as his apprentice in 1861 and Holland and Holland was established.
In 1883 Holland & Holland entered the trials organized by the magazine The Field and won all the rifle categories with flying colours. They soon after were grated not one but two Royal Warrants and were also instrumental in both world wars supplying guns.
Fast-forward to the 1990’s, and Holland & Holland have produced a clothing and accessories range not only for the shooting elite but also for ladies and gentlemen with discerning tastes and a love of the countryside and fashion.
