The Royal Guardsman is a well known figure here in London.
They are the regimented troop of Royal bodyguards that guard the Sovereign residences.
They have an extremely disciplined routine and are not allowed to speak with or interact with the public unless defending a member of the Royal household. They are an impressive site in their shiny boots and traditional bearskin hats, and the Guardsman bear is here to commemorate them. Every inch a British traditionalist!
