Globe-Trotter
The Globetrotter Suitcase has been dubbed “The Quintessential British Suitcase” since the turn of the Century in 1901.
It was founded by an Englishman Mr David Nelkin in 1897, with the idea being that the Globe-Trotter suitcase would be immensely strong yet simple and unfussy.
On its original advertising images there is a picture of an Elephant standing on the case indicating just how strong this case actually is!
Globetrotter has had a tremendous history and roll call of Royals, Explorers, Heads of State and celebrities on its list of clients and as such has propelled it into pole position as the finest luggage in the world.
Globetrotter was known to supply the British forces with cases during the Great War and the Second World War. Winston Churchill famously kept his papers in a Globe-Trotter despatch case, and Queen Elizabeth II chose Globe-Trotter for her honeymoon luggage back in 1952, as did Princes Diana later. Both Scott of the Antarctic and Roald Amundsen both carried Globe Trotter to the North and South Poles on their expeditions! Today many others like them chose Globe-Trotter to travel with or as elegant storage solutions in their homes, and Daniel Craig and Kate Moss are huge fans too.
Globetrotter suitcases are handmade from vulcanised fibreboard, which is unique to this brand and makes them the toughest cases around. They are assembled with ash wood framing and leather trim by skilled craftspeople, many of which have been working at the company for over 40 years!
We are offering you a gateway to this world of unparalleled luxury by choosing some of these covetable cases to purchase here.
