Sloane Ranger Girl
Sloane Ranger girl has come some distance since her Lady Di beginnings (the era of the alice band, pearl earrings, Peter Pan collar and voluminous taffeta evening dress), though she still looks to the the princess-in-waiting (albeit with a rebellious dash of Sienna Miller thrown in) for her main style cues.
These days you’ll mostly find her in skinny jeans, a printed tee, neck scarf (certain sloaney habits die hard), and a cashmere cardigan or twinset. Hair is always long, highlighted and slightly unkempt. All her friends dress the same.
SRG still hangs out on the King’s Road (KR) in London, but Notting Hill has become another key stomping ground, with artier Sloanes occasionally spotted as far afield as Shoreditch in the East side of town.
