James Bond

Bond James Bond ...
In 1953, British author and journalist Ian Fleming wrote a series of novels based on the fictitious character spy, James Bond, codename 007.
He wrote 12 novels and some short stories chronicling the adventures of this strikingly charismatic character and James Bond has become one of the most famous British male characters with the books always on the best selling list.
James Bond has been the most financially successful and longest running film franchise to date.

James Bond epitomised the suave, sophisticated British Gentleman, who was sharp, dry witted and exceptionally clever. He was everything a man aspired to be. Strong, tall handsome, good with firearms, a credit to his countries service, a wiz on the gambling circuit at the casinos, a sharp dresser and a master with the ladies!

Over the years there have been six key actors that have played Bond in the cult films with two of them going down in history as really capturing the original spirit of who Bond was; Sean Connery and Roger Moore and Scotsman and an Englishman respectively. Everyone can name their favourite Bond actor and the two most recent additions to the 007-role call are Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. Not everyman has the special combination of charm and sophistication needed to play Bond and it is a very skilled process of casting for to find the epitome of the British gentleman who is the sum of all these parts.

The style of James Bond is iconic and easily recognised and although Bond was often battling enemies and shooting villains all around the world, he is best known for his air of steely sophistication in a sharp suits, crisp shirts with elegant cufflinks, dinner jacket and bow tie…oh, and hand gun!
