Kate Middleton

Catherine Elizabeth “Kate” Middleton, is the fresh-faced beauty who stole the heart of England’s previously most eligible bachelor, Prince William. The two met in 2001 while studying at the University of St. Andrews, and made international headlines with their engagement in November 2010. The world watched and England happily celebrated when the pair finally tied the knot on April 29, 2011.
For weeks fashion lovers speculated on the designer of Kate’s wedding dress, and suspicions were confirmed when she walked down the aisle in an elaborate lace and satin gown created by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, paying tribute to the late British designer.
Now an official member of the Royal family with her own title, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton is constantly in the spotlight, and setting standards with her sophisticated style. She gracefully mixes couture with high street pieces while buyers flock to stores to get the same look, sending items flying off the racks at record pace!
For high profile events, she opts for simple, classic pieces and minimal jewellery – a delicate necklace or small drop earrings. Rather than large handbags, she is often seen holding a small clutch to complement her outfit. Kate Middleton also accessorizes with various hats and fascinators, and has made them a signature of her style.
We’ll be sure to keep our eye on Kate in the upcoming year as she continues to charm the people of England – and we’ll be taking style notes along the way!
